The upcoming "Visiting IntCDC Institutes Networking Program" (ViNe) event offers a behind-the-scene look at the Visualization Research Center (VISUS).

Prof. Daniel Weiskopf (Board of Directors, PI, Data Integration and RDM Commission), together with Prof. Michael Sedlmaier (Participating Researcher), Kuno Kurzhals (Independent Junior Research Group Leader) and Prof. Dieter Schmalstieg will give a 30-minute lecture on "Visual Data Analysis and Immersive Visualization". They will provide an overview of how abstract data from different domains can be visualised with traditional desktop-based approaches and augmented reality embedded in the spatial context of the data.

A guided tour of the Visualization Research Center, including some demonstrations of techniques, will follow the lecture.

The IntCDC ViNe networking programme aims to promote mutual acquaintance, interdisciplinary exchange and cross-disciplinary understanding between researchers from around eighteen institutes at the University of Stuttgart and one MPI, encompassing architecture, structural engineering, building physics, engineering geodesy, manufacturing and systems engineering, computer science and robotics, and human and social sciences.

ViNe target group:   Early Career Researchers (ECR) of the Cluster of Excellence,
its Associated Projects (APs) and the SRC ArchIDA.
