The upcoming "Visiting IntCDC Institutes Networking Program" (ViNe) event offers a behind-the-scene look at the Institute of Aircraft Design (IFB). Prof. Peter Middendorf (PI, and member of the Research Infrastructure and Industry Collaboration Commissions) will kick-off the event with a 30 minutes lecture on fiber composite plastics, additive manufacturing processes and functional integration: Virtual mapping and transfer of technologies into material and structural models using composite simulation. Integration in flying platforms, both UAVs and manned aircraft for eco-efficient flying in aircraft design.
