We are very excited to announce the release of the book Architecture Research Building – ICD/ITKE 2010-2020 published by Birkhäuser.
The book provides an overview of ten years of joint research at the institutes ICD and ITKE, both are PIs at the Cluster of Excellence IntCDC, at the University of Stuttgart. Taking the pavilions and experimental buildings as examples, it demonstrates how digital technologies enable a profound shift in design and construction, which actively brings about a cultural change in architecture and pushes the limits of construction. Additional contributions from esteemed colleagues Philippe Block, Jane Burry, Antoine Picon, Mette Ramsgaard-Thomsen, Jenny Sabin, Peter Cachola Schmal, Bob Sheil, Thomas Speck and Georg Vrachliotis situate their work in the current architectural discourse.
