For the upcoming recruiting period the Clusters of Excellence IntCDC and SimTech jointly designed a series of workshops that aim at the earliest point in community development: the recruiting process. In three sessions, the Equal Opportunity (EO) Managers Lisa Schöllhammer (IntCDC) and Almut zu Schwabedissen (SimTech) have provided important assistance and general hands-on information on topics regarding the first part of the recruitment process, the sourcing of the candidates.

In workshop session number 4, valuable information on the support structures of your institution for hiring and keeping high potentials will be shared.

Workshop 4: "Support Structures - Meet the Experts on Internationals, Child Care & Health"

Topics:

  • What does the University of Stuttgart offers to keep research and family happy together?
presented by Inken de Wit and Julia König, Service Uni & Family

  • How to welcome internationals and how to ease the process of hiring.
presented by Raphaela Diel, Welcome Center and Katja Jenkner, International Office

  • How to make sure the combination of life´s challenges and excellent research doesn’t lead to burn out or personal health crises.
