Diversity and equality are issues with many different dimensions. Privilege is just one of them. Put simply, some people find it easier to achieve certain things than others. Background (both demographic and social), colour, appearance, illness or disability, gender, age and sexual orientation are some of the factors that make it harder or easier to achieve these very things.

This exercise can help you to reflect and gain a new perspective on yourself in your everyday social and academic context. If you join us, together we will create a safe space where you and your fellows will spread out as avatars on a digital playing field, which might turn your perspective upside down. After the walk (about 30 minutes) you are invited to share your experiences with other participants.

This is a joint event of the two Stuttgart Clusters of Excellence, IntCDC and SimTech, which will take place on 20 May 2021 as part of the Diversity Day 2021 and the events of the University of Stuttgart.

A maximum of 20 participants can attend the event on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event will be held in English.
