The first official meeting of the IntCDC Industry Consortium was held at our Large-Scale Construction Robotic Laboratory (LCRL) in Waiblingen as a hybrid event. Eleven Industry partners, the IntCDC Industry Comission and our IntCDC researchers met for knowledge transfer and networking. An introduction by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jan Knippers, Deputy Director of the Cluster and responsible for Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer, was followed by presentations of the researchers and demonstrations at the instrumentation platforms by the different research areas.

The Industry Consortium (IC) was established to achieve a direct interaction with the relevant industry and to provide a platform for exchange, with the goal of anticipating and ensuring the transferability of research findings and allowing direct knowledge transfer. The IC is configured to reflect all relevant facets and stakeholders of the building industry. It consists of architectural design practices, consulting engineers, general building contractors, specialist building contractors, construction material producers, construction machine manufacturers, geodetic equipment manufacturers, fabrication machine manufacturers, robot manufacturers, technology suppliers and software suppliers. In this way, a strong link between academia and industry is forged to enable knowledge exchange and rapid transfer.
