At this year's General Assembly the members of acatech - National Academy of Science and Engineering - elected 39 scientists to their ranks. We are very pleased to announce that IntCDC Board Member and PI Cordula Kropp (SOWI) and IntCDC Advisory Board Member Kondrad Bergmeister (BOKU, Vienna) have been appointed as members of acatech.
All elected scientists have accepted the honorary mandate, which is also considered an award for special scientific excellence. The academy, which is funded by the federal and state governments advises politics and society on technology-related issues.
The scientific achievements and reputation of the members serve as the foundation for the Academy's comprehensive advisory services. The new members were elected to the Academy at the General Assembly in October 2023. They will strengthen and expand acatech's scientific spectrum in specialist areas such as human-centered AI, biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, digital construction, construction chemistry and quantum optics.
