On Saturday, 8 June 2024, the annual Science Day of the University of Stuttgart will take place at the Campus Vaihingen. The event provides a glimpse behind the scenes of science and research. Hands-on experiments, lectures and impressions of university life will round up the picture.

Join our IntCDC researchers as they explore the future of construction and find answers to questions such as

  • How can we build more sustainably in the future?
  • What will architecture look like if we use materials only where they are really required?
  • What role do natural renewable materials play in this context?
  • And how do robots support this new approach in the building industry?

Learn more about the method of co-design and a new material culture in the field of design and construction. Learn about the advantages of fibre-wound building components and the types of buildings in which they are being used. Understand how robots can help us to manufacture these components and manually wind your own small fibre prototype. Discover new ways of using wood in construction with the help of computers and robots. Last but not least, see how new technologies can program the material properties of wood and thus use them in a targeted way.

Curios? We are looking forward to your visit at the SimTech builing located at Pfaffenwaldring 5a!

An overview of the University's programme can be found in the Event app.
