SUMMARY:IntCDC Key Skills Workshop – Practical Data Publication
DESCRIPTION: \nThe new regular IntCDC Key Skills workshop on Practical Data Publication provides a hands-on introduction to the IntCDC-specific workflows for research data management.\nAfter two hours, you will be able to\n\nselect an appropriate storage location for your new data\neffectively enrich newly generated or collected data with suitable metadata\nuse this metadata to document your data in the data management plan of your research project\nuse this metadata to publish your dataset according to the FAIR principles on the Data Repository of the University of Stuttgart (DaRUS) as an example. \n\nAll processes are approached practically. It is therefore recommended that you bring your own laptop and have access to your own data set to which the processes can be applied directly. The only requirement for the laptop is that it can connect to the eduroam WiFi. Details of additional preparatory tasks will be announced to all participants prior to the workshop.\nThe workshop is supplemented by regular office hours for individual support, so that specific questions can be resolved and discussed after the workshop.\nOrganisational Details\n\nApplication is open to all doctoral researchers participating in IntCDC (including Associated Researchers, Postdocs, Independent Junior Research Group Leaders, PIs/PRs).\nThe workshop is free of charge and will be held in English. It will be held in German, if all participants prefer this.\nThe workshop will take place in attendance and will last 3 hours. Check the sessions on ILIAS for the respective location and time slot.\nThe number of participants is limited to 10.\nThe workshop will be repeated regularly.
