We would like to enter into an inspiring talk with distinguished international guests on various topics from the world of science and academia.\nWe are honoured and delighted to welcome Prof. Margot Gerritsen, Department of Energy Resources Engineering at Stanford University, for the kick-off event. She will talk about (un)intended developments in computational science and her experiences as a scientist in the international engineering world. She will be joined by moderator Prof. Rainer Helmig, Head of the Institute for Modelling Hydraulic and Environmental Systems and Member of the Board of Directors of the SimTech Cluster of Excellence.\n
