This year was once again a great success in sharing and presenting the research at IntCDC — from wood and fibre building demonstrators to construction processes and computational design. Not only were many questions asked and answered, but visitors of all ages gained valuable insights.

In particular, children had the opportunity to take part in a hands-on filament winding activity. Using a stencil as a base, they could experiment with different patterns and gain an understanding of the construction techniques and concepts behind the fibre building demonstrators.

A big thank you to our researchers Pascal Mindermann (DITF), David Nigl (ILEK), Maria Papadimidraki (ICD), Cristóbal Tapia Camú (MPA), Philipp Wasserloos (ISYS) and Christoph Zechmeister (ICD) who left no question unanswered and contributed greatly to a successful Science Day 2025!
