At the Wissenschaftsfestival (Science Festival) held at Stuttgart Town Hall, visitors were invited to “discover the latest research in the natural sciences, explore new perspectives, ask questions, and experience science right in the heart of Stuttgart”.
IntCDC researcher Siddieq Mansour and his ISW colleague, Wolfgang Bubek, used the example of the percussion robot to demonstrate the necessity of FPGA-based hardware for complex control and regulation tasks. They also demonstrated the flexibility of the mobile manipulator for use on the shop floor and for logistics in prefabrication within the construction industry.
The response was very positive. During the press tour, Lord Mayor Dr Frank Nopper received an explanation of the research, and several hundred visitors gathered information at the IntCDC/ISW stand.
