 ROB|ARCH 2026 – Aarhus, Denmark

From 24th to 28th August 2026, the ROB|ARCH 2026 conference on robots in art, architecture and design took place in Aarhus, Denmark. The conference series is a collaborative effort between co-hosting universities, industry partners and the Association for Robots in Architecture.

The following researchers from the Institute of Computational Design (ICD) presented their papers as part of the conference programme.

On 27 August, ICD researcher Zhenxiang Huang presented the paper 'Constraint to Capability: A Multi-Robot Screw-Press Gluing Micro-Factory for Scalable and Efficient Multi-Story Timber Slab Assembly'. This took place in Paper Session 1: Robots + Material Innovations.

Also on 27 August, ITECH graduate Luiza Longo presented the paper 'Embedded Frame Filament Winding: A Dual-Robot Fabrication Method for Timber–Fibre Hybrid Structures”. This took place in Paper Session 3: Robots + Environment & Resource.

On 28 August, Lasath Siriwardena presented the paper 'LLM-Driven Behavior Generation and Negotiation for Collective Robotic Construction'. This presentation was held in Paper Session 5: Robots + Data, Machine Learning & AI.
