Our researchers Xiliu Yang and Samuel Slezák are offering a workshop at the Future of Construction Symposium in Zurich 20-23 May 2026. This workshop explores agent and robot embodiments in collaborative construction using augmented reality.
Together, we will discuss the roles of AI agents and robots as non-human actors on a construction team, and customise their embodiments and interactions to shape how they collaborate with humans. The hands-on portion utilises a modular assembly task with a UR cobot controlled by an LLM agent, within an AR environment that enables embodied interactions.
Participants will customise their own agents using provided Python and Grasshopper scripts, and reflect on their designs as a group.
