On Saturday, 13 May 2023, the Science Day will take place at the University of Stuttgart, Campus Vaihingen. The annual event provides a glimpse behind the scenes of science and research. On this day hands-on experiments, lectures and impressions of university life will be presented.
Together with the Cluster of Excellence Data-Integrated Simulation Science (SimTech), the Interchange Forum for Reflecting on Intelligent Systems (IRIS), the International Center for Cultural and Technological Studies (IZKT), Cyber Valley, and the Artificial Intelligence Software Academy (AISA), we will be presenting a colourful and diverse programme for all ages in the SimTech building at Pfaffenwaldring 5a.
Join our IntCDC researchers as they explore the future of construction and find answers to questions such as
- How can we build more sustainably in the future?
- What will architecture look like if we use materials only where they are really needed?
- What is the role of natural renewable materials in this context?
- And how do robots support this new approach in the building industry?
Learn more about the method of co-design and a new material culture in the field of design and construction. Learn about the advantages of fibre-wound building components and the types of buildings in which they are being used. Understand how robots can help us to manufacture these components and manually wind your own small fibre prototype. Discover new ways of using wood in construction with the help of computers and robots. Last but not least, see how new technologies can program the material properties of wood and thus use them in a targeted way.
Curious? We are looking forward to your visit!
