The Girls' Day is an initiative to motivate schoolgirls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics (STEM) by giving them the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in these fields.
We have the pleasure of hosting the workshop "Let's build!" for Girls' Day 2026 together with IBL and ILEK!
A modern new research building for the Cluster of Excellence IntCDC (Integrative Computational Design and Construction for Transformative Architecture) is currently under construction on the Vaihingen campus of the University of Stuttgart.
Here, girls in Years 7-8 can learn more about:
- the idea behind the building,
- how building plans are created, and
- what the finished building will look like.
Afterwards, they will go on a short discovery tour of the construction site, equipped with sturdy shoes, helmets and safety vests.
