Three IntCDC early career researchers took the opportunity to engage in an open experience exchange with our visiting professor Melanie Tory from Northeastern University.
Melanie is Director of Human Data Interaction Research at the Roux Institute in Portland, Maine, and Professor of Practice at Northeastern, with appointments in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences and the College of Arts, Media and Design. She is a recognized expert in information visualization, human-computer interaction, and computer-supported cooperative work, and human-AI collaboration.
In this IntCDC Early Career Seminar, the PhD students not only discussed their own research questions with Melanie, but also received valuable advice on career planning. They were able to benefit from Melanie's experience as associate editor of several visualisation journals and as a member of the steering committee of the IEEE VIS conference.
